Program Outline:
The modules below are a sample of the content we can include in a Resolving Conflict program to enhance capabilities. What is included in the program will be designed to meet your needs.
Win/Win Approach
Participants will learn types of behaviour people use to resolve conflict. They will explore the principles and value of a win/win approach.
Creative Responses
This module will give participants the powerful experience of how a message we give can affect the outcomes when faced with conflict.
Empathy
Participants will explore communication patterns, which block and foster empathy. They will learn the skill of active listening.
Co-operative Power
This module explores the beliefs of ‘power’ and considers ways to harness ‘power’ for the benefit of all.
Managing Emotions
Participants learn to express and manage emotions for themselves and others.
Negotiation
This module explores the skills and structure of negotiation with practical exercises.
Appropriate Assertiveness
Participants will explore aggressive, passive and assertive behaviour.
Willingness to Resolve
This module considers the process of increasing participants willingness to resolve conflict.
Timeframe:
Timeframes on this program can vary depending on the size of the project, your requirements, the depth of the content that you choose.
We have found this program to be most effective if conducted one day per week over a six to ten week period.
During non-contact times all participants will need to complete workplace tasks and assignments.
Contact Days:
These three sessions would ideally be delivered over a three-week period so that participants can integrate their learning.
Non Contact Days:
During participants non-contact times all participants will need to complete a workplace assignment specific to their learning from that session.
On Going Support:
Participants will be encouraged to call our office during the program for individualised coaching and support and for a further period of two months when completed.
