The modules below are a sample of the content we can include in a Managing Projects program to enhance capabilities. What is included in the program will be designed to meet your needs.
Introduction
This involves the nature of projects and the challenges organisations and individuals face today.
Scope Management
Participants learn to define the scope and explore controlling the changes to it.
The Plan
This is the beginning and identifies where to start and how to begin a project.
Project Context
This module identifies the stages and projects. It looks at the processes of these and how they interact so that participants can manage complexity.
Roles and Responsibility
Participants learn to develop a steering committee, determining who is responsible for the different tasks and who has project ownership is explored at this point.
Integration Management
This module explores change control, planning and procedures used to execute the plan.
Time & Cost Management
Participants learn estimating the effort and cost of the project, schedule development, control and the critical path.
Risk Management
Participants will learn to identify and manage the risks.
People Management
Participants will learn how to form teams, what team structures to use, how to acquire employees, set performance agreements and identify training issues.
Quality Management
This module explores managing customer satisfaction by ensuring the quality of deliverables.
Communications Management
Participants learn status reporting, dissemination of information both within team and outside to stakeholders is learnt thoughtout this module.
Procurement Management
Participants learn how to obtain goods and services from outside the organisation or from other internal groups. They learn how to distribute these goods and services.
Timeframes on these programs can vary depending on the size of the project, your requirements, the depth of the content that you choose.
We have found these programs to be most effective if conducted one day per week over a four to six week period.
During non-contact times all participants will need to complete workplace tasks and assignments.
